Rickenbacker 4003 Firegloo 1980

I’m selling a truly special 1980 Rickenbacker 4003. Originally it was a fretted bass, but a previous owner converted it to fretless. That’s how I bought it — and honestly, that’s how I fell in love with it.

At first I considered restoring it back to factory spec… but I absolutely don’t want to. This bass is a fantastic fretless with tons of character and that unmistakable Ric vibe. It’s an incredible player, and the next owner will get a lot of joy out of it — it’s one of those instruments that just inspires you to keep playing.

Of course, if someone prefers it original, it can be converted back to fretted. I have a trusted luthier who can handle the job, and the cost would be around 300 euro.
